ST. PATRICK'S COLLEGE
IWARO-OKA AKOKO SOUTH WEST LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ONDO STATE NIGERIA

ESTABLISHMENT/FOUNDERS DAY:  St. Patricks College was founded on January 30th 1959 by the Roman Catholic Mission under the Lordship Bishop W. Field. The OKA Community was instrumental to the establishment of the School to cater for their children and maintain/substain Catholic Denomination in Akoko Area of Ondo State.


NAME AT ESTABLISHMENT:  St. Patrick's College was initially called CATHOLIC GRAMMER SCHOOL Oka. It remained exclusively Boy's School at the period of being established.


FOUNDER'S DAY:  The founders day was shifted to MARCH 17 th of each year to concide with the date of celebaration in Honour of ST. PATRICK'S worldwide the patron of the Parish.


MIXED SCHOOL:  Initially the year 1975, the School was exclusively boys only, but on September 1975 the first set of Girls were admitted and the School became a mixed institution.


PIONEERING PRINCIPAL & STUDENTS:  Rev. Fr. J. Crowe was the Pioneering Pricipal of the School. The registration at the inception was 30 boys registered as bonifide students of the Instituion.


SCHOOL LOCATION:  The School was at inception located at Ebinrin Oka where St. Patrick's Church now locates, but later transferred to a plain ground at Western side of Iwaro-Oka along Ayegunle road now known as College road, between Oka hills and the boundary between Ikun Oba and Supare in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
