2016 Exco Release By General Secretary; Segun Ologundudu

Great Patricians !!!

It gives me great pleasure to present this report to the general house of St Patrick's College Oka Old Students Association on the giant stride taken so far towards the consolidation of the gains of our reunion on behalf of the Executive Council. We all recall with pride the unquantifiable efforts of notable great Old Patricians towards our reunion which culminated in the gathering of March 19th 2016. At the meeting, the Exco was saddled with the responsibility of collating and assessing the identified challenges and problems in the school and take decision on way forward.

These challenges include but not limited to the following.

After much deliberations among the executive members and in consultation with the School Principal, it was decided to address the urgent need of renovating very dilapidated classrooms to improve conducive learning environment for the students. We decided to undertake the two blocks formerly referred to as Forms 2 and 3 blocks.

Through prudent management of resources and direct supervision, we are happy to announce completion of the project and even added a touch of paint to the former Form 1 block renovated by 78set for uniformity. Pictures of these are reposted on the hub, our Facebook page and SPCOOSA Website.

At this juncture, we acknowledge the immense sacrifice of Alhaji Kareem Kologe of 75set who supervised the project pro bono on behalf of Old Patricians with support of Eng Ibitoye Cosmas of 78set. Mr Omoluabi also generously discounted the cost of his paints and also donated some drums of paints for the project. Their contributions are worthy of emulation.

Particular mention must be made of the direct monitoring of the project by our able Chairman - Dr Patrick Oludare who undertook several journeys to the school for onsite inspection and supported by CHIEF Dele Ologbese, our tireless PRO. We want to appreciate and thank all members of the Association for your contributions towards the realization of this laudable milestone. It is now time to focus on the next stage of development.

While welcoming suggestions from members based on already identified areas of development in the school as earlier enumerated above, the Exco will soon decide and commence the next developmental phase of our alma mater.Towards this, we shall solicit generous support, contributions and assistance from all members to achieve success.
